My kid just discovered the Light Bot coding game and loved it. I love the game, and they’ve added a lot since the last time I played. It’s a wonderful introduction to programming concepts.

Helping my kid with the game had me thinking a lot about how we are taught and how that affects our approach to problem solving.

Each ‘level’ in the game or lesson in school requires you to solve for a singular answer. There is only ever one solution, the one made possible by the concept being taught, that allows one to progress. Over and over again…
